“I work one-on-one with business owners, helping them to get a business license, find a retail or office space, and make the most of their business opportunities once here,” said Lorraine Chachere, Economic Development Specialist for the City of Burien. “Burien is such a supportive community and we want to make sure every entrepreneur has a positive experience.”

That desire to help is one of the things that sets Burien apart. You belong here if you are an entrepreneur or small business owner who wants to feel connected to the community, and wants to be valued and appreciated. “In Burien, we see every small business as an important part of our community. Residents are loyal and make a point to shop and eat at local businesses. Plus, the business community itself is highly connected and supportive of one another,” said Chachere.
