Burien’s Main Street & Downtown Recognized

Burien, Washington has an incredible downtown with the Main Street-vibe that attracts visitors from throughout the region. If you live here, you’ll love visiting downtown for the farmer’s market, or parking your car and walking between different restaurants and shops for an evening out. “People love living in Burien and how easy it is to meet friends for dinner, go shopping, watch a parade, attend a festival, and how connected everything is,” said Lorraine Chachere, Economic Development Specialist for the City of Burien. 

Others are noticing too. The Seattle Times published an article recommending Burien’s ‘eat streets’ as a must-visit destination. 

“Discover Burien hosts events throughout the year - up to 30 annually,” she added. “And this draws a lot of attention to our city. If you haven’t been to Burien, come visit - you’ll love it here.”
